Gram is one of the few remaining producers of commercial refrigerators and freezers in Denmark, founded in 1901. It all started when the industrialist Hans Gram built a 100m2 machine workshop from which he offered a complete dairy factory. In 2008, Gram became part of the Japanese company Hoshizaki Corporation, which planned to provide cooling solutions with the brilliance of Japanese engineering and the intelligence of Danish design.
Gram’s goal is to be an energy efficient and environmentally friendly brand. In 2002, it became the pioneer of HFK-free products. Instead of using greenhouse gases that are harmful to the environment, they use natural gas without jeopardizing cooling capacity. Gram has also received ISO 14001 certification thanks to the company’s hard work to meet all environmental management requirements.
The brand focuses mainly on hotels and restaurants, pubs and cafes, catering, bakeries and patisseries, schools and marines and offshore sectors.
One of the products gram is proud of, Superior Plus line, which won a cooling award in 2017 at Caterer Product Excellence, a Footprint Award and the European ProCold award for the most energy efficient vertical cooled storage cabinet in Europe.
